At 4:11pm PST, Chartio experienced a brief service disruption. During this time, customers may have seen charts and dashboards slow to load, or even 503 Service Unavailable errors. Our engineering team received monitoring alerts at the start of the incident, investigated the issues, and were able to resolve it by 4:17pm PST.
A post-mortem on the incident is pending but the issue was caused by an underlying hardware failure on one of our databases. The database failed over automatically but took longer than expected for the service to stabilize.
